The designer born in Sardinia and Illustrator Carolina Melis, still known under the name million diamonds, presents her chic collection of "Four Seasons". It includes handmade carpets and tapestries, bedspreads and curtains, which were made in pure handwork on Sardinia. Characteristic for these creations are the geometric patterns, inspired by the traditional Sardinian weaving. The Mediterranean island is world renowned for its Web technology and this tradition is continued by young Sardinians and further developed.

The London-based artist created the textile products with great care and attention to detail. For their creations, she used only high quality wool, manufactured by Sardinian sheep, silk, linen or cotton. Each piece is made to order. The carpets are in the colours white, grey and black.

The carpets of Mio diamonds are made in traditional "pibiones" typical pimple-like Web technology. The word of Pibiones "Grape seeds" means in Sardinian. These form a relief, a drawing that can be both geometric and very stylized. In the past, almost every Sardinian family had a loom. Traditionally, carpets and tapestries in white or light brown wool were produced. The floral motifs, animals and even people darstellde patterns are typical.
